My name is Steve Laughton, and I run a small family business trading in and around Nottinghamshire.
Let me tell you where it all started.
I served my apprenticeship at a long established local company called "Thomas Fish" back in 1981.
My main trade is carpentry and joinery, but as time went by and I moved from one company to another, I was taught to do brickwork, plastering, and roofing, as well as block paving to name just a few.
I came off the tools for a number of years to work as a contracts manager for another local building firm.
